Why the NE Heights Is So Popular
All three homes are located in the Northeast Heights, one of Albuquerque’s most consistently desirable areas.
Buyers are drawn here for a few key reasons:
- Access to top-rated schools like La Cueva
- Established neighborhoods with mature landscaping
- Proximity to shopping, dining, and outdoor recreation
- Easy access to the Sandia Mountains
This is especially true in the $350K–$450K range, where inventory tends to move quickly.

Home #1: Updated and Move-In Ready (~$415K)
One of the homes we toured was priced around $415,000 and offered a more move-in ready experience.
This property featured:
- 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms
- Approximately 1,650+ square feet
- Two-story layout with updated finishes
- Larger backyard compared to similar homes
According to the listing, it also had updated lighting, newer flooring, and a modernized kitchen setup, making it appealing for buyers who don’t want to take on immediate projects .
Takeaway:
At this price point, you can find move-in ready—but you’ll often trade off square footage or lot size.
Home #2: Larger Home with Solid Updates (~$430K)
Another home we looked at came in closer to $430,000 and offered a bit more space and upgrades.
This home included:
- 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
- Around 1,800+ square feet
- New roof, new carpet, and updated systems
- Classic Southwest features like a kiva fireplace
The listing highlights several major improvements already completed, including a new roof, evaporative cooler, and interior updates, which adds real value for buyers thinking long-term .
Takeaway:
This is the “middle ground” option—solid condition, decent size, and fewer immediate expenses.

Home #3: More Space, Lower Price (~$385K)
The third home came in under $400K and offered something different: more bedrooms and flexibility.
This property featured:
- 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
- Around 1,450+ square feet
- Two living areas
- Mountain views and a larger lot
Located in the Loma Del Norte area, this home emphasized location and layout over updates, with highlights like Sandia views and proximity to trails and amenities .
Takeaway:
If you’re willing to do some cosmetic updates, you can get more space—or a better location—for less.
